HEREDIA
HOW TO GET THERE
Distances are not excessive in Costa Rica; travelling from one city to another is pretty simple. Trips are short, the highways are kept in a relatively good condition, and there is a fair number of vehicles (buses and taxis) covering the main integration routes in the country.
For this reason, arriving in Heredia is rather easy, and the trip by land takes hardly 35 minutes coming from the City of San José. There are buses and taxis, departing from the eastern side of the central market in the capital of Costa Rica, that cover the distance almost throughout the day.
It is also very easy to reach Heredia from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, the main of the country in Alajuela, with a distance of 9 kilometres separating them that can be covered in a taxi, for 7 dollars approximately, or on a local bus for 0.50 cents of a dollar.
